Migrate to SnipNotes 5

SnipNotes 5 is a major new update released on June 1st, 2023. It offers some of the most frequently requested features like subcategories, iCloud synchronization on Apple Watch, and a much larger selection of icons for notes and categories. You can learn more about the new features in this blog post.

SnipNotes 5 is available as a regular update on the App Store. You can unlock subcategories by making a one-time purchase within the app. This purchase unlocks the feature for both iOS and macOS. If you have purchased SnipNotes Plus after January 1st, 2023, you will automatically get access to subcategories. Existing SnipNotes Plus customers can take advantage of all the other new features for free, such as the new icons and iCloud synchronization on Apple Watch.

SnipNotes 5 is available as a new app on the Mac App Store for macOS 12 and later. This is a technical requirement to allow for shared purchases between iOS and macOS. You can safely delete the existing app from your “Applications” folder and download the new version from the Mac App Store. Your notes will transfer automatically, and all features are still available. As an existing Mac customer, you have access to all features in the new Mac app except for subcategories. This new feature can be unlocked for both the iOS and Mac versions of SnipNotes with a single, one-time purchase.

💡 If you have purchased SnipNotes for Mac after January 1st, 2023, you are also eligible for a free upgrade to subcategories. Please email your App Store receipt to [email protected].

⚠️ If you have already created subcategories on your iPhone or iPad before the migration and these are not displayed correctly on the Mac, please reset the iCloud synchronization in the settings menu on your iOS device.
